The cars were special ordered for export. It is not known why the cars were ordered, but obviously they were ordered as a bunch as the cars have practically identical options.

According to Kevin Marti, 565 500 XL 2dr HT's were produced with this
engine/transmission combination.

All five cars are still in more or less original condition. My car (Springtime Yellow one) has only
177,000 kilometres (approx. 110,000 miles) on the odometer.
The options on these cars include:
390 cid 4-V 315 hp engine (Z-code)
Cruise-O-Matic transmission
Equa-Lok differential
Deluxe steering wheel
Power disc brakes
Power steering
HD battery
Metric speedometer
