Bill Bracken's 1970 Torino GT
I found this 1970 Torino GT 429 convertible two years ago sitting on a Ford dealers used car lot in Cleveland OH.
It was sitting between the used Taurus, Focuses & Expolorers. The dealers son had bought it under the dealers name and stashed it in the bodyshop. When the dealership fell on hard times the dealer made him sell off all his toys and he needed to get out of it quick.
Its equipted with a C6, 3:00 Trac Loc, A/C, power windows, Hideaways, high back buckets, console, and trailer towing package. According to the Marti report its one of 124 with this driveline and one of one with these options. I've spent the last two years repalceing all the weather stripping, restoring the chrome, replacing the windshield, restoring the dash, and instrument cluster. I currently have the seats removed to replace the original carpet and have a few small rips repaired in the original comfort weave. I recently installed new Magnum 500s wrapped in Goodrich TAs and added the lazer stripe. I hope to have it ready for the FCA Nationals in Cincinnati this June.
