Clyde Rose's 1962 Fairlane 500
· An elderly man in Georgia bought this car new. Soon after his purchase, he added an after market JC Penny air conditioner--which remains in working order. He began restoring the car 5 years ago and added a 1970 model 302 motor and a C4 transmission. It has chestnut metallic paint. After his death, he left the car to his nephew. I bought it from him in August 2009. I have since rebuilt the carburetor and have spent many hours doing detail work. This winter, I plan on adding disk brakes to the front. This is an excellent weekend cruiser which I have enjoyed very much.
