Gary & Kathy Johnson's 65 Fairlane Sports Coupe K-code

· I have owned this original 1965 Fairlane Sports Coupe K-code since 1991. It is equipped with the 289 Hi-Po, 4 speed transmission, 9 inch rear-end. I also still have the original tri-power carbs for it that was a dealer option when it left the factory. There were only 100 K-codes produced in 1965 for the Fairlanes and I'm not sure how many were Sport Coupes and also how many were 4-speed cars. I do know they are rare finds. This car still has the original interior in it and has 56,000 miles on it. My wife, Kathy, and I enjoy cruising around in it on sunny afternoons. I still love to go through the gears and listen to those solid lifters chatter. People you see on the street still give us the thumbs up and make you proud to own a piece of history.
