Jimmy Lawson's 1963 Fairlane 2dr Hardtop
Returning to the days of my youth I picked up this rust free sweety in
Liberty South Carolina back in 2005. After a long haul to Texas, she has
sat for the past two years in various tear-down modes getting a refresh
for all of the 40+ year old suspension parts. Upgrades to date include:
Complete PST suspension components for the front end, PST bushings for
the new leaf springs in the back. Other upgrades include: Disc brakes on
the front, dual chamber master cylinder, power brake booster, new brake
lines, Wilwood proportioning components, new drum components in the
rear, completely freshened up the rearend with new seals and paint. High
power Diamond Cut Halogen head lights and custom LED taillights added to
the existing Fairlane buckets. Numerous interior upgrades are being
applied but they will all hold true to the 1963 interior spirit, nothing
post 63 other than gauges. Wheels are late model Mustang 16X8's
(non-logo)with 225/55 rubber, for now. Next stop, 17X7 Torque Thrust
II's.
