Ray Grindstaff's 1966 Fairlane GT
I always wanted a 1966 fairlane GT 390 4 speed car so I finally found one had to completly restore it. It is pretty much stock. I did beef up the 390 to 375 hp. lightened up the engine with a aluminum intake and a aluminum water pump. No headers just stock manifolds. stock rebuilt 3.25 rear axle assemble. It runs great all though there is the thing about no traction when you put your foot in it. Lot of fun. Wheels are 17x8 on rear 17.6 on front The disk brakes are 1978 lincoln versailes front and rear . The Lincoln rear axle is 2 inches narrow than stock lets you have 2 more inches for wider tires. you have to move spring perches 1 inch inward. Thanks Ray Grindstaff I would like to thank my best friend Jerry for his help, best paint and body man I know. He taught me the meaning of blocking.
