Tomasz (Thomas in english) Golis's 1968 Torino 2-Door Hardtop(Formal Roof)
· "Maybe it is not so common to see any Farilanes / Torinos from the far,
European country (Poland), but here it is!! I aquired this 1968 Ford Torino
(65C) in March 2009 and it was a birthday present for myself. I`ve been a
muscle car fan since I was a teenager and I always wanted to have any of
those so badly.
Car was originaly painted with Lime Gold Paint (I-code) and had a
black/charcoal bench seat interior. It was restored by a previous owner
about two years ago, but he didn`t want to make it stock and so he decided
to customize it a bit. The Torino now has a beautiful black-cherry paint job
and an orange interior, black painted bumpers (I`ll put back some chrome on
them soon). It still retains its original 289 V8 engine, C4 transmission,
rear axle and differential (3.00:1, non-locking). However, it was slightly
souped-up as the previous owner put Edelbrock`s intake along with
Edelbrock`s 4bbl carb (600cfm). But I wanted it to be even more powerful ,so
I decided to completely rebuilt the engine with Edelbrock`s Performer RPM
heads, Hydraulic Flat Tappet camshaft, Air-Gap intake, Hedman Hedders long
tube headers along with Dynomax dual side exhausts. The pictures had been
taken before I started working on my Torino, as it is currently undergoing
serious performance upgrades. It`ll be ready very soon."
