Rubber rear spring isolators were removed to eliminate rear end movement. Wider rear springs built for better traction control. The 9" rear end was shortened 2" on each side to gain outer fender well clearance which is now 1" on both sides. Front coils are custom made for big block, although the aluminum intake and headers reduce the 427 4-speed to about the same weight as the stock 289, Cruiseomatic, and power steering that were removed

Comments:
Wheels do not clear the steering arm/tie rod ends on the original drum brake spindles, but do clear the Granada pieces without modifications. Tried the same year 16 X 7 1/2 Mustang wheels and found they would not clear the Granada steering arms.
